Milan has a good public transportation system and it's easy to get to Milan from either of its airports. There are a number of different options to choose from to travel around like trams and buses, radio Bus, trains, car, metro or taxi.
Trams and Buses
Taking the trams or buses is cheap transportation in Milan. There are many different lines. You can buy tickets at the metro stations, in giornali (kiosk) or tabacchi (stores marked with “T”), but not on the bus or tram. RadioBus
The RadioBus is a new service which allows you to get around the city whenever you want every day from 20:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. To book your trip around Milan you just have to decide time, departure and arrival place then call ATM at 02/48.03.48.03 (from 13:00 to 2:00 a.m.).
Metro
Milan has 3 metropolitan lines: the red line west-north (linea rossa), green line south-east (linea verde) and yellow line north-south (linea gialla). It is possible to buy tickets at the metro stations for the Metro, in giornali (kiosk) or tabacchi (stores marked with “T”), but not on board. Train
The main train station in Milan are Milano Centrale (city center), Rogoreto (south east), Lambrate, Sesto 1° Maggio FS (north), Cadorna, Porta Genova FS, Porta Garibaldi, Bovisa.
Most of the Station have an interchange with subway System.
Taxi
Taxi's in Milan are not cheap, especially at rush-hour. It is possible to book a taxi in advance, or you just call when you need one.There is also an option to call a radiobus which is a new service and a mix of the public transportation and a taxi. Car
Milan has a great deal of traffic so it isn’t ideal to drive in and it is also expensive to park.
